We’ll review the fundamental principles of REST, talk about the differences between applications, services, and APIs, and then dive into actually designing said systems. We’ll cover what should be a resource and what shouldn’t, what methods to use for what use cases, what representation formats to use when, how to incorporate hypermedia concepts into your design, and how to design URLs.
Attendees should have basic familiarity with APIs and HTTP and a pretty good idea of what REST is.
No need to bring anything, but if you have some use cases in mind which we can use as examples, that’d be great.
